Soundboard Conversation with Elvis

4 Stars

When I was looking through the sound board website and saw Elvis Presley I just had too. I am a huge Elvis fan, however I wish the sound board had more usable clips. Again I used Audacity for this assignment. Coming up with the conversation was hard at first, but once I figured out what direction I wanted to go it was easy. Having only his section of the conversation was complicated to match mine up too. Asking questions for answers that were already there. To get some of the clips I wanted I took small clips of larger ones. This allowed me to get certain words or phrases that I wanted. For example the “Thank you very much” was part of a much longer clip, but I only wanted that tiny part. It was also kind of funny having a conversation with Elvis. The editing and piecing together was the easy part.

This was the cutest thing ever! I really enjoyed listening to it and it kept me engage to find out how the conversation went!! :)

  2. It sounds like he is sitting right there with you! This was really creative and I’m sure it took a lot of effort. Great job!

That was very cool. One thing though – listening to it through earbuds, you can tell that you and Elvis are in different rooms, because he has some reverberation and audience murmur to go with his voice. If you had a way to pull some of the crowd noise and put it underneath your voice, it might bring the two together more. It’s a little detail, and probably a lot of work, but little details can have a big impact. Good job!
